QGov to Queensland Digital Identity (QDI) transition
In early 2025, the Queensland Government will decommission the QGov digital identity system and begin using the Queensland Digital Identity (QDI) system in its place. This will impact health practitioners accessing the Queensland Health Provider Portal (The Viewer).
Depending on your individual circumstances, at transition your QGov account may be converted into a QDI. Should this occur, you may need to verify your identity using government-issued credentials next time you try to access a Queensland Government online service in order to secure your QDI and meet the security requirements of the service you wish to access.
To ensure that the health practitioners within your practice are adequately prepared for the transition scheduled for early 2025, please review details of the change schedule online.
