PRODA and HPOS

Provider digital access (PRODA) lets you securely access a range of government online services for providers. To access available services using PRODA, you need to register as an individual to get your own account.  

To access a service on behalf of an organisation, you may need to register the organisation in PRODA. The service will let you know if you need to register your organisation. 

We recommend the following minimum browser versions to use with PRODA: 

• Firefox 72.x 
• Google Chrome 80.x 
• Microsoft Edge 79.x 
• Safari 14.x

Health Provider Online Services (HPOS) 

HPOS is a web-based secure service provided by Medicare that allow providers to send and retrieve various types of information to/from Medicare. 

Services, payments and programs available in HPOS: 

• Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) 
• Centrelink forms 
• Department of Veterans’ Affairs 
• My Health Record system 
• Healthcare identifiers service 
• PBS authorities 
• PBS & RPBS stationary 
• Practice Incentive Program & Workforce Incentive Program (Practice & doctor stream) 
• Prescription shopping information 
• MBS online 
• Request and manage PKI  

Access online claiming, including: 

• Medicare Patient Claim Webclaim 
• Medicare Bulk Bill Webclaim 
• DVA Webclaim 

Via HPOS, you can also view bulk billing, prescription shopping and DVA webclaim reports, verify patient Medicare card details, concession entitlements, care plan and MBS history, and request and manage PKI certificates.
