APNA National Nursing Clinical Placement Program

The National Nursing Clinical Placement Program (NNCPP) places student nurses under the supervision of RNs in primary health care settings, with the aim of supporting the primary health care nursing workforce.

Benefits to general practices include but are not limited to:

  • Financial incentives to practices of $50/day/student, with most placements being 2-4 weeks in duration (=$500-$1,000 per placement)
  • Free training provided to supervising nurses, ensuring they’re confident to host students, with full support throughout
  • No agreements with education providers, just one agreement with APNA
  • No requirement to change any of the clinic’s insurance
  • No obligation to host a student, even once they’ve signed up
  • After hosting students, practices can choose to retain a student nurse as their next workforce solution

Please view the NNCPP Overview and NNCPP FAQs or book a time with APNA's Engagement Team to find out more information or to register.
