General Practice Workforce Planning and Prioritisation (GP WPP)
Have your say!
The GP WPP team would like to speak to GP Registrars, or GPs who have gained fellowship in the past 12 months, to receive feedback on any part of their training, from medical school through to general practice training (GPT) placements, and to identify any training gaps, or opportunities to improve the training experience, in the Brisbane North region.
The Brisbane North PHN GP WPP team are working on the inaugural Training Pathways Report which is due to the Department on 1 October 2024.
The aim of this report is to provide greater visibility and transparency of GP training opportunities to support GP Registrars to complete their training in a single region (if they desire) as they progress through their pathway to fellowship.
In collaboration with relevant stakeholders, the local team will map and provide information on where the different elements/ rotations of the training pipeline are possible, within the Brisbane North PHN region, encouraging early career planning and navigation.
