Measles alert - Brisbane International airport
Queensland Health has been notified of two confirmed cases of measles infection
Individuals spent time at the Brisbane International Airport arrivals terminal on Thursday 19 March 2026 between 5.00 pm–6.00 pm while unknowingly infectious.
Members of the public who visited the above areas on the specified dates and times may have been exposed to the disease and need to be alert for symptoms for up to three weeks from the exposure date.
Symptoms usually start 7-10 days after contact with an infected person but can sometimes take as long as three weeks.
